Anna He Purnabhrama
Hi all
I am Rashmi Pande. I am a Homeopathy Consultant by profession but currently a homemaker. I love food. My family and I are big foodies. I love cooking and baking.
My passion for cooking comes from my mother and sister. They are exceptional cooks. When I got married I started cooking as my duty and responsibility and ever since then I like to try new recipes. I have learned many dishes from my mother, sister, mother-in-law and friends. My husband was behind me since last few years to start a blog so it's an effort from me to take my cooking more seriously.
The world is globalised and so is food. We do not stick to our traditional food anymore so I try to add recipes from all over the world.
I personally believe in the ANNA HE PURNABHRAMA. It means food is a supreme god. In Hindu culture food is given respect because food is god's/nature's gift to mankind. Hindu's believe that the food we eat helps us maintain the balance of our body, mind and soul. The physical body is nourished and energised by food. Poornabhramha the saying refers to the four flavours that are supposed to be found on every plate. Even if we don't look at it that way spiritually the food pyramid also quotes the same.
" Food that is eaten gives us strength and vigour but eaten irrelevantly destroys them both."
Healthy, juicy and freshly made food promotes longevity, purity, strength, health and cheerfulness. I always try to make fresh and healthy food. But being foodie I try to infuse a variety of flavours to satisfy the tastebuds too.
It's a continuous learning process and still going on...
